I’m an awards show junkie, so I cannot wait to watch the Oscars tonight! If you follow red carpet fashion, tonight is the night to relax on the couch and drool over the couture. These are the celeb stylists you need to know!
Monica Rose is most known for her work with the Kardashians – but she has a pile of celeb clients! I think she played a huge role in bringing back the bodysuit trend – a bodysuit, skinny jeans (or bodycon skirt) and long blazer was her signature for a while. Also, I know I am not the only one envious of Gigi & Kendall’s street style…sweats & leather? Yes, please!
Chrissy Teigen – John Legend is set to perform some tunes from La La Land, so you know they’ll be walking the carpet.
Giuliana Rancic – Giuliana is usually interviewing celebs about their attire, but she too works with Monica sometimes. As the carpet has started I see Giuliana is now using stylist Rebecca M. Gross, who also styles her E! news co-worker Catt Sadler! Rebecca’s Social : Instagram
It’s rare that Kate Hudson is ever on a “worst dressed” list & that is thanks to her stylist & friend Sophie Lopez! The white Versace gown she wore to the 2015 Golden Globes is still one of my favourites. Sophie even styles ads for Kate’s athleisure label Fabletics – a celeb stylists work is never just during awards season!
Kate Hudson – Although she isn’t nominated or presenting this year, she has already made some red carpet appearances this season, so I’m sure we will see her Oscar night. If not at the show, at an after party!

South African born Anita was educated in England and then made her way to LA & became an editor for Allure magazine. From there, she began a career as a freelance stylist – with a number of A-list clients & major magazine editorials under her belt, Anita is one to watch.
Camilla Alves – If Matthew McConaughey is attending the award show, I’m sure his beautiful wife Camilla will be his date.
Chrissy Teigen – Anita dresses Chrissy from time to time as well, but as of late it seems she has been going with Monica Rose. I wonder how celebs feel if they have to/want to choose a different stylist!? It seems so cutthroat, but you gotta do what you gotta do I guess!
Some of her clients may not be attending the Oscars, but I’m sure many will be headed to the Oscar after parties. We will have to wait to see those looks online/in magazines tomorrow. Olivia Culpo is probably my favourite client of Anita’s – her looks are always fun.
Micaela is definitely one of the top stylists in Hollywood. How can you not be with a client like Meryl Streep, the most nominated actress in Oscar history! Also, Micaela styles our very own Canadian (YQR) actress Tatiana Maslany – she’s in good company with the rest of Micaela’s clients; Lupita Nyongo, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Hudson – and the list goes on.
Meryl Streep – There has been some drama surrounding what Streep may wear tonight. Apparently Karl Lagerfeld has spoken out saying that in the middle of customizing a couture gown worth 100,000 Euros for Streep, her camp said they would no longer need it, as another designer was willing to pay Meryl to wear their gown. Meryl Streep’s rep says the accusation is untrue, that she would never wear a dress in exchange for payment. So….W.W.M.W – what will Meryl wear??
This mother of two is keeping busy with her celeb clients – another one of the most in-demand stylists, Kate has worked in PR, written for magazines & at one time, even assisted Anna Wintour. Then she took a position as an assistant to a stylist and the rest is history.
“The best advice I was told when I was an assistant is that ‘No’ is not an answer. It is never an answer, and I think that’s really good advice for anyone in an assistant position because if when she [Young’s boss at the time] asked me for something and it was impossible when she checked, my answer was ‘I couldn’t do what you asked. Here are three remedies to the situation.’ That shows forward-thinking, it shows organization, it shows motivation.”
Natalie Portman – Natalie is nominated for Best Lead Actress for her role in “Jackie”. However it was announced Saturday that due to her pregnancy she is unable to attend the Oscars this year. Maybe she will win an Oscar & give birth – what a night to remember & celebrate that would be!
Michelle Williams – Michelle is nominated for Best Supporting actress for her role in “Manchester By The Sea”. I didn’t love the Louis Vuitton dresses she wore to the SAG Awards or the Golden Globes, so I’m eager to see what she shows up in tonight!

Leslie Fremar also started her fashion career at Vogue & then moved onto Director Of Celebrity Relations at Prada. It’s a long road to get where these stylists are – they have definitely been thru the ranks and put their time in.
Charlize Theron – Charlize is a presenter tonight so I’m excited to see what she will wear. Her 2012 Golden Globes couture Dior gown is another one of my all-time favourites.

Ok, I don’t wanna say that ” I saved the best for last”, but I kind of did! Not in that she is the best stylist, but the one I am most looking forward to, because Emma Stone, Emma Stone, Emma Stone!!! La La Land is one of my favourite movies ever (I’ve already preordered it on iTunes) – bold statement I know. So, I’m really hoping Emma & Ryan win tonight.
Emma Stone: She’s already worn McQueen, Chanel & Valentino this award season…for the Oscars I predict Chanel again or Dior.
Amy Adams: Amy herself is not nominated (some say she was snubbed), but the movie Arrival in which she starred is – for best picture. I hope Amy wears something by Marchesa.
